I have again seen intense attempts to isolate me and push me out of my social environment. For example, there are statements coming from several places that manipulatively try to convince some collectives to deny me access to their spaces, actively ostracize and excommunicate me. The pretext for such actions was the conflict that occurred at the Anarchist Bookfair in Graz, the context of which I have tried to explain in my comprehensive analysis.
A short summary of what happened then: A person threatened me and falsely accused me by his activities, putting me in a dangerous situation and attacking my personal integrity. I subsequently punched the person in self-defense to stop his illegitimate activities against me.
And what is happening now: this person is trying to pretend that he is the victim and I am the aggressor. He uses the dubious logic that the aggressor is always the one who uses physical violence, regardless of the fact that violence sometimes serves as a necessary and legitimate means of defense. As was the case here.
Some widespread statements now label me as violent, dangerous and paranoid. Other statements claim that I share pro-Russian propaganda and that I am a supporter of Putinism. Although these voices are coming from different places, they have common features. None of these statements provides evidence or refers to verifiable sources that could be used to substantiate such accusations. It is a clear example of how so-called ‘cancel culture’ can become a powerful weapon for manipulators who want to get rid of an opinionated opponent. All it takes is for a person to pretend to be an innocent victim, then make absurd accusations, and then other people will help “socially destroy” the person who has antagonized them. All the accusations against me are challenged by my work published on the blog lukasborl.noblogs.org and on the blog antimilitarismus.noblogs.org. Anyone can easily verify this. But once again it turns out that in the atmosphere of dogmatic “cancel culture”, truth is not important. The direction is always set by the first one who identifies himself as a victim. Even if he is in fact not an innocent victim, but a dangerous provocateur, bully and liar, as in the case of the person from Bookfair.
Despite the fact that the statements against me claim that this is a non-political issue, this is clearly another effort to punish me for my intransigence from anti-militarist positions. Some of the statements even demand that other collectives refuse to communicate with me about anything, justifying this by saying that any contact with me is dangerous. The question arises: Why is anyone so afraid that someone might talk to me and try to verify whether or not the allegations against me are true? I am open to communication, so if anyone is interested in how I perceive the situation, they can email me or arrange a meeting.
I would also like to thank all those who have not lost their minds, communicating with me about this issue and providing me with much needed support. It is important in such a serious situation to know that I am not alone and that people can stand up for me. Thank you all. I will not name anyone here. You know who you are. Please continue to be sensitive to what is going on, because whoever is presenting themselves as a victim can sometimes be a sneaky aggressor and manipulator.
