In 110 A4 pages, I explain why and how to write letters. I include reflections drawn from my personal experiences with incarceration, as well as collages featuring excerpts from prison correspondence. My aim is to use specific examples to demonstrate what can be encouraging and uplifting for someone behind bars. I hope this will help people who are planning to write letters to empathize with the situation of a prisoner and provide them with inspiration.
